CCW Man Bag Transport

I use a Maxpedition Jumbo bag for my CCW and was just wondering how I transport it in my car. I'm in Washington state. It wouldn't be on my person while in the car. Do I need to lock it in the trunk even though it's in my bag? Would the same go for women and CCW purses?

click on washington and read: half way down will be the info about how guns must be transported in cars, trucks, RV's, etc. At the immediate top right in red after clicking on washington it will say whether or not you must by law inform an officer about your weapon if you are pulled over.
