Glock 26 or Glock 19, both in the flavor ala "Gen 4."

If you can conceal the G19 successfully, than congrats. You will be armed with one of the most effective combat handguns in the world. If you can't conceal it's larger size, go for the G26. Still a highly effective weapon in all regards, just a bit less sight radius and a bit less grip to hold on to in rapid fire etc.

But yeah, if you can conceal one of these you have one of the most reliable, rugged, durable, lightweight, high capacity, controllable and decently powerful handguns on Earth.

IMHO, while these guns might be a bit large for some CCW scenarios, if you can get away with it you probably have a more effective CCW handgun than about 95% of the population who CC. There are many out there who have said even if they were OC in a war zone, that a Glock 26 would still be an effective weapon as a primary sidearm, especially using the larger magazines of it's bigger 9mm brothers.

I agree with them.

CZs have always been a little difficult to find.

Right now, the P-07 and P-09 are the focus it seems, and are easier to find.

CZ-75. Probably the best overall 9mm out there
Only problem is, you will be one constantly broke dude until you finally get a bunch of those damned CZ's....

And the Kadet kit is every bit as good as everybody says. But $400 for a .22 conversion is a lot....And they are never easy to find...Go figure.

The Sarsilmaz, Canik and the other Turkish pistols are a great bargain too.

It's hard to go wrong with the Glock 19. It's sort of the measuring stick for most other 9mm's.

Yeah, we have the clones around here in stock at the academy sports all the time. I here good things and only $350 or so.

A local shop has a CZ compact in stock, it was tempting.

More than $550 seems a little high, but the availability, I wouldn't mind paying a little more if I was really wanting one.
