Stock Saiga 5.45 trigger vs. many SKS?
My three SKS triggers -all original- have been smooth, just a long pull on each. How do you compare the original 5.45 trigger feel to a decent SKS?
Might consider searching soon for a basic, Unmodified Saiga 5.45 in my area. Have No need for a large mag. and the extra cost. Nobody can beat .16/rd. for centerfire, semi-auto rifle ammo, regarding today's retail prices: until the next unscheduled panic. Most of us know about a possible (Scheduled) panic in late 2016. When my Saiga 5.45 was stock, the trigger was OK. I kept it well lubed with WeaponShield CLP. The more I used it, the better it got.
That being said, I ended up converting mine after shooting it stock for a year, and the Tapco G2 trigger is better.

Thanks for the response.
Once the decision is made to find a local basic version, the temptation to spend extra money would be spent on an AK Tech Sight, if they are not much harder to install than on any SKS (easy). |
