He did a good video analysis of the event. decades ago a friend had a small .75 or so inch bore iron canon that worked fine with black powder. Occasionally, he would load blank charges with minimal wadding using the blank powder from those little yellow 20 ga blanks that were used to launch mortar rounds. This worked fine until he got excited and loaded a projectile as an afterthought. .
