Winchester model 12 barrel band how do you remove it?

Changing barrels and have it down to the barrel band. The threads are right hand.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but there are some good videos out there on the Model 12 Winchester.

For simple breakdown, the whole front of the shotgun comes off as one unit. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Film here. LINKY

Do NOT put a wrench on it!!!!

The barrel has to be held in vice jaws shaped to the barrel conture. Winchester used a "L" shaped drift that was tipped with copper.

Please PM me your email address and I will scan and send you the pages from the Winchester book I have.
