Just an update on my 870 Marine Magnum.
I recently bought an 870 Marine Magnum and just wanted to let everybody know mine is chugging right along without a malfunction of any kind.
I have been through about 400 rounds of various loads from light Walmart bulk stuff up to OO Defense Buck. All of it kicks very mildly with the rubber stock end. I shoot 8mm Mauser quite a bit and compared to that steel butplate my 870 is a pussycat. I find this forum a wealth of information for a potential buyer and I like to read about the good and the bad people go through to help me make an educated decision. I waded through quite a lot of 870 info before I made my decision and I am glad I did. I just wanted to return the favor by posting my experience for anybody who may be researching the 870. Thanks again for all the info and keep it coming. Chris

Mine's been around for 10+ years, except for permanently scortched mag tube & stripped barrel-clamp screw, it looks the same as new.
