Suppressor Maintenance
Hi All,
I am strongly considering purchasing a KAC NT4 suppressor in the near to distant future and with this being my first can, I was wondering if the maintenance would inhibit any fun it would bring me? This will go on a KAC SR-15 and perhaps would be shared with a MK 18 CQBR upper in the future. I have heard from owners of suppressed pistols that shooting suppressed adds more fouling to their guns, but didn't know if that held true of rifles too. I know Knight's Armament has a new line of 5.56 and 7.62 suppressors out, and didn't know if it would be worth the wait and extra money for the new ones. Regards, Marty |

I have always been told that a suppressor takes noise and turns in in to heat and carbon .
From what I know yes every gun is more dirty when short with a suppressor. p.s. I am not an expert I am still waiting for my first suppressor (45/70 rifle)

Shot placement is everything! I would rather take a round of 50BMG to the foot than a 22short to the base of the skull. all 26 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple. Wish my wife did as well... |

Yes, the rifle will have more fouling in it when you use a suppressor. If it is an AR type, you may get gas blow back around the charging handle.

Thanks for the input. That's about what I was counting on. Yes, this will be for an AR-type rifle.
