I can't tell you the reason for sure, but small pistol primers have been impossible to find in my neck of the woods for the last 2 or 3 months. I wanted to increase my inventory by a couple of thousand before there was a run on them, but no luck.

Make a post about ammo prices spiking, get blasted...
Make a post about Panic buying, everyone agrees, hahaha

It's all timing.

I will say that everything that was on sale at LGS and local big box stores is no longer on sale. They don't need to put it on sale because everyone is buying everything for whatever price it is listed for! Capitalism

I'll admit I have bought a few more magazines (including the new 40-rd sand colored PMAG, kinda ugly IMO)

I for one will not be joining in with any panic buying. Just don't need anything really and buying just to own something is not a good reason for me at this time. 20 years ago, I would have joined in with the wave of buyers.

Still ammo and guns at the store yesterday.

Bought 200 more rounds extra than usual.

Was just in my local Dunham's Sporting Goods. 35-40 AR15 pattern rifles just sitting there collecting dust. Probably the same 35-40 I saw in there a month ago.

Hundreds upon hundreds of boxes of .22LR and .223 / 5.56 ammo at the same store.

Panic buying hasn't hit my area.....yet. Hope it doesn't.

I bought a brick of Eley Target .22LR, $99.99. But that's normal purchase for me.

Mike38.

I wish I had all the money still that I spent on Eley Target .22LR over 40 years of target Pistol Shooting! .22 Short/22 long Rifle/ and how many .32 S&W long, rim fire, I loaded. What a hobby.

Now it is just 9mm factory, shot from Glocks. And one carried every day.

This happens every election year or mass shooting in a Gun free Zone. AR 15 parts are still selling at low prices. Anderson tipped lowers are still out there for $50. I have noticed some AR complete uppers have gone up $10-20. Bolt carriers still under $100.
The trick is to buy when you want to and have the money to do it. Anytime.
