New To Reloading

RELOADING FOR 300 WSM,I USED NOSLER ACCUBOND 180 GRAIN BULLETS. THE O.A.L IS 2.990", AND OGIVE MEASURED 3.317". THIS SHOT REALLY WELL. I PURCHASED MORE OF THE NOSLER ACCUBOND 180 GRAIN BULLETS TO DO MORE RELOADING. I SEATED THE BULLETS TO THE OGIVE MEASRUERMENT OF 3.317" AND CHECKED THE O.A.L WHICH TO MAY SURPRISE IS NOW 2.966". DO I SEAT THE BULLETS TO THE OGIVE ( 3.317" ) OR THE O.A.L 2.990"?? IS IT COMMON FOR THAT MUCH VARIANCE FROM ONE BATCH OF BULLETS TO THE OTHER??

anglicos, Seat the bullets to the ogive. That is where the bullet will make contact with the lands and is thus the critical measurement . The polymer tip could give you some variation but is not as critical .

Mike

BTW check the CAPS LOCK
