$10 brass tumbler

Here's an idea I got about making a brass tumbler out of a salad washer.

You can apply a small motor to it and turn it into a nice brass washing machine

the offset crank mechanism would be problematic

You can remove the crank and glue a pulley on the blue disk.

Go for it! I'd be surprised if it help up though. I've used my kid's rock tumbler for 6 months now. I've pretty much destroyed it. Things that aren't designed for that type of heavy, constant use just can't sustain it. I thought I was saving money. Now I need a brass tumbler AND a rock tumbler.

I have a rock tumbler, its a thimblers. It has ran 24/7 since I got it about 4 or 5 months ago. I dont think it has turned off for more than a few minutes. It will be fine. Maybe the less expensive ones arent made to run all the time.

Maybe you could watch tv and turn that there crank the whole time. Im sure youd watch less tv.

Go to Harbor Freight and pick up their small vibratory tumbler for $24.99. It's the same thing as the ones "made for brass cleaning" that cost upwards of $100.

Yes you can have firearms in Italy but you need a license and there are still many limits.
There are basically 4 kinds of license, one for personal defense (restricted to militaries, policemen and people with high risk jobs) one for hunting, one for sport/shooting range and one for collecting. Unless you have a personal defenze license you cannot go around with an handgun. Also handguns are not allowed for hunting. Hunting and sport licenses allow you to buy firearms, keep them at home and carry your guns at the shooting range.
You have to declare at the police station how many firearms you have (max. allowed 9 unless you have a collector license), how many bullets (max. 200 centerfire cartridges), how much powder (max. about 10lbs).

Sandro, WOW! That put a little dampening on the reloading and shooting. Do they also limit how many components you can have(bullets, empty cases, etc.)?

res45, I bought all my reloading equipment directly in the USA. Prices in Italy are double of what you pay there.

No limit on cases and bullets.

The abrasives and friction will erode the basket in no time.
