I depends....I usually carry my S&W Model 638 but sometimes I'll add my Micro-compact .45. Sometimes I'll carry my Ruger SP-101 .357 and a Beretta .25. Sometimes I carry two .45's. It all depends on how I feel, How I'm dressed and where I'm going.

Only one at a time. I really dont see the need for 2. Mostly my PF-9 but on occasion my 1911 OM.

The 3 main reasons I carry two or more handguns:
1. "New York Reload" to go along with my spare mags/speedloaders!
2. Give one to my significant other or close friend in a pinch.
3. If the cops take my primary in for testing, then I can still defend myself!

I know this probably makes me sound like a paranoid "gun-nut", but I LOVE GUNS!!!

A TX permit allows you to carry as many as you can conceal. I've never carried more than one at a time but I do have two carry guns. One is a bit more compact for use when I can't dress casually.

The only time I carried two guns was by accident. I grabbed by wife's barn coat one morning and went to the store, I received a very irate phone call and proceeded to go home and swap coats.

And before someone says.....The Weight!!!
I keep a lot of crap in my coat....and I had a hangover

"what shirt do you wear?"

Oh, you have more than one?
Oh, you might wear a T under a cotton button-down, or sweater?

You mean there may be NO best answer?

I always wear at least one always, and I bet I always have at least two more choices close at hand.
I no longer routinely wear two or more, but I still do......on occasion.

You may not label me 'paranoid'; you may more appropriately call me 'survivor'.

I normally carry 2 KelTec on weak hand side In case can't reach main due to injury or main out of action. Also to me faster than trying to reload. If ever needed.

Usually none. Don't feel the need to. And if I feel I really have to, one. Realistically speaking I will never need one.

No not joking, and am not anti either, just a bit different than most of the folks here I guess. I can carry where I hardly need to, but can't legally do in the place I really should. Fact of life, not much choice about the latter place and their stupid laws over there. :barf:

not joking either

One will not decide when one needs a gun; one will have THAT decision made for them.

Realistically speaking, one can only HOPE one will never need one.

One small point: There is a difference between 'can' and 'allowed to'.

I agree, but that doesn't really apply well to those who carry revolvers. I'd need to carry 2 or 3 reloads to match the capacity of some of the auto's that people carry. Still, carrying a speed strip or two is easy, so why not?

One gun and 1 reload over 99% of the time when I'm off-duty. About the only time I carry a second is if my primary carry is going to be buried under a zipped/buttoned up coat. Then I may pocket carry my .38 Snubby for immediate access.

One -- a Kahr PM9 or Kimber UCII and a reload -- should be plenty. I've heard the "one is none, two is one" quote a million times, but I live in rural Texas, not downtown Memphis, and trying to figure out where to put all that hardware would just give me a headache ...

I normally only carry my SIG 220 with one extra magazine, but that's more for convenience than anything. I have though, on occasion also had my SIG 238 in a pocket holster, as well.

I only carry one: 9mm XD SC. I carry multiple mags, so I should be able to contend with most situations should they arrise.

How many guns do you carry for CCW?

Just one. Usually either a 38+P or 9mm.

XD9mm SC in a IWB at the 5pm position, .38 special S&W Bodyguard on a left ankle carry. Reason for 2, if the XD locks up the revolve is a backup. Carry 1-2 extra magazines for the XD all of them are 16 round.
