Quality: Excellent. I've worn it for about a month now and it feels sturdy and comfortable. Very sturdy buckle and appearance is great - can go naturally with slacks or jeans. Difference between wearing this belt and wearing my thickest/heaviest belt (bought at ~ $40) is still night and day when holstering same set up.

This will not sag at all while other belt would sag. Unfortunately I don't have experience with other gun belts to compare it to, but from my experience I can highly recommend this belt.

Simply Rugged has nice quality leather belts capable of supporting a holster. I'm wearing one now with a 92FS in a pancake holster.

If you are asking about an old west style gun belt then Cochise Leather makes some fine rigs that are affordable.

The Beltman - double hide and other belts with differing leathers including horse and elephant I think. I use these belts and they are excellent and perfect for this purpose. Plus they just look like, well belts.

I'm about to order a belt from an outfit called Amish Leather. They make theirs of 12-13 ounce cowhide, in various widths. That's the heaviest leather I've seen offered for years, and shouldn't be as stiff as the internally reinforced belts.

Many new & entry level gun owners/armed professionals do not understand or know that a quality, lined gun belt is an important part of a carry system.
Gun belts should be stiff & able to support a fully loaded firearm, handcuffs, white-light, spare magazines, OC spray, etc.

Many savvy pistol packers & "quiet professionals" get horsehide belts or get the type that contour to a 1.25" dress belt in front but are 1.5" around the waist.

Gun belts can be expensive but from what I have experienced, cheap gun belts just aren't worth the money. Do yourself a favor, spend the money if you can afford it and buy a well made gun belt. They will last much longer and support your gun much better than a cheaper gun belt.

I use, and suggest, The Beltman. A dual layer bull hide starts at $70. A horse hide starts at $80 and are worth every penny.

My first gun belt was a Ross that cost $40. It lasted for two years. My Beltman is at least 5 years old and is almost as stiff as the day I first tried it on. It still has several years left in it as a gun belt.

By spending a little more up front, you'll save money in the long run. Your carry rig will ride better too as the belt is the most vital part of set up including the holster.

For leather Beltman is nice, for nylon I like my Wilderness Instructors belt, 5-stitch.

My first gunbelt was a Blackhawk CQC I got on Amazon. I wouldn't reccomend it, because although it was sturdy, the leather on the outside began peeling off after 4-6 months.

I have a bladetech belt now, and it came reccomended by the cat who made my holster. Decent price, but should last much longer than my other. I'd reccomend it.

I wasn't aware of that until now, but I got an OWB holster from them in 2011 and a mini-tuck this year. Same excellent quality and fit both times. Good people to work with.

I have all my leather work done by CJ Vandermhulen in Riverton Wyoming. Belts, holsters, mag and ammo pouches, and even saddles.

He works for G-G saddles, and many cowboys know exactly who they are. Dennis George's saddles are famous all around the country.

Anyway I have never seen better quality gun leather at any price, and yet his prices are very reasonable. High end quality and lower than other prices you see.....what's not to love?
