Desperately looking for a place to shoot

I moved to Charles Town WV from CT a little over a year ago and due to a lack of public ranges, I've gone from shooting twice a week to twice in the last year.

I am within driving distance to most places in the eastern panhandle or Frederick MD and some places in Northern VA.

Sparky's in Martinsburg has closed down and the one public range I found in Frederick was so oppressive that the fun was sucked out of it.

I heard there was an outdoor place in Berkley Springs that was periodically monitored by a ranger, but the person who told me about it wasn't able to tell me exactly where it was.

Any ideas?? - Thanks

I bet you'll discover something like I did after years of having

to wait and drive 2 hours 'back to the farm' to shoot. There was a local private gun club 5 miles from me... cost me $150 a year to be a member and I can go shoot any day I want now....

local gun clubs and ranges are all over the place, just need to find them.... try to track down via internet the national hand gun thingys... also, this is the wrong place (section) to be asking...it's not visited that much.... I'd go to general discussion and ask the question again.

Do you have Google Earth on your computer, do a search of gun ranges with your location as your starting point.
