The next thing I would do would be to get a better trigger. You won't achieve improved accuracy with an 8 lb trigger. I've found that a better trigger makes it possible to get the most out of my rifles and makes finding a powder-bullet combination that works best a lot easier. You may have already found the best load but a heavy trigger is keeping you from seeing it.
I have a Geissele on my AR and my buddy put a Timney in his. The Timney was cheaper and drops in. The Geissele (except for the match trigger) is easy to install but does require you reassemble the trigger group as you go. The Geissele shoots smoother but anything around 4 lbs that breaks clean would be a big improvement. |

For 65 - 77 grain bullets from my 1-7 twist 16" barrel, I prefer Reloader-15.

I bought almost the same upper, 1/9 mid length gas p-tac. Cheap, I was realy surprised how tight my groups were getting, h-322, benchmark, pro varmint, ar comp, with 55 gr are working well. Going to try heavier pills with blc-2 or 748

I use Reloder 10X for 55's and AR Comp for heavier bullets. I use the AR Comp for 308 also.
I agree on the trigger swap. I'am a 3lb Timney guy |

I am just now trying to work out the best load it can get with the powder I have available to me for the 69 gn Sierra MatchKing (BTHP). Sorry I do not have any results yet since I just finished loading them a few hours ago, but here is the loads I am trying (5 rounds each):
Powder.......Load #1...Load #2...Load #3 W 748.........23.0......23.5......24.0 H 335.........22.5......23.0......23.5 Benchmark.....22.0......22.5......23.0 8208 XBR......22.5......23.0......23.5 I also have a small amount of IMR 4895 and I guess I should have put that on the list, too. It would be a LOT easier to talk about these things if powder was more available, Rounds are made from LC 5.56 NATO brass with CCI 450 primers. These will be fired from a 20-inch barrel, 1:8 twist |

With the triggers I'm curious what others think of the timney or others? I see a lot of people saying three to four pound pulls with these. Just curious thought of trying one but so far my trigger set up is holding up well for 10 bucks
My lower and upper are s&w m&p with a shilen 16" 1-8 twist. I put a set screw threw the pistol grip, and the jp enterprises 3# spring kit, with a slight bend in the hammer spring legs. After break in I'm down to under 2.5 pounds. Hammer, sear, and trigger are factory S&W. Nothing else other than polishing. If anyone is interested definitely can take pictures if anyone is interested. |

Win748 for 55gr or 62gr pills.
CFE223 or PowerPro2000-MR for 69gr or heavier pills. Use small rifle magnum or milspec primers. Jimro
