The P220 is known in law enforcement circles for being reliable but not exactly durable (at least compared to other Sigs), whereas the P226 is easily a 60,000-round or more platform.
I say that as someone who owns a West German P220 and a P220ST, so I'm not harshing on the P220. It is what it is. |

I dont know which one but my P228 is one heck of a gun. One of the best 9mm pistols ever built by any manufacturer. I will never understand why they quit manufacturing it for American sale as it was maybe the most balanced SIG ever designed.
