lil gun and 300BLK

hey guys, need a little advice here on 300 blackout load

picked up some 155gr amax in hopes to use this lil gun i bought since it wont cycle with my subsonics, having a tough time finding a reliable starting point

looks like i should start a little over 15gr but just want someone with some experience with 150ish grain bullets and lil gun, and also what is the safe max load

8,5in BBl 1/8 twist

thanks!!

Hodgdon's max listed load for lil'gun and 150gr Hornadys is 15.2gr

Based on that, your max should be right around 15.0.

As a point of information, QuickLoad agrees with Hornady, max at 17.0gr. I don't know if I'd go down to 11.8gr though, that's barely 60% case fill.

QuickLoad says 1736fps from 17.0gr in an 8.5" barrel.

Very efficient load. Basically the best powder you could use.

I settled on 15.8 gr, got to to shoot yesterday, pretty sweet groups at a hillbilly 30 yds. That thing kicks like a mule compared to the sub-sonics. But everything cycled well and bolt lockback. Thanks.
