LOL. Lee again. I'm still using the same RCBS Uniflow that came in the RCBS Reloader Special kit I bought over 35 years ago. It does the job, period. Set your measure to throw a charge close to what you need. Trickle the charge up to snuff on your scale. I do this with all extruded powders except the excellent 4320. I use the top for the measure turned over with a charge thrown into it and I trickle the charge with a piece of matchbook cover a few kernels at a time. Slow, but it works; rotating the drum slowly and carefully each time helps get the charge really close. If the charge doesn't meter well, dump it back into the hopper and try again.

Crowbeaner,

It sounds like you are in the same boat with extruded powders despite your measure. Lee did answer my e-mail back, but despite the fact that I stated that I ran several batches through the thing and don't have static issues, they still regurgitated what is in the manual about priming it with powder or graphite to eliminate static. I'll try the graphite I guess. Grrr. Still, it looks like I will be using the trickler, and then another powder.

All the information you need is in the Hornady reloading manual.

I like: IMR 4064 or IMR4350.
LR primers..brand doesn't matter.
Trickle each charge.
Load to about 2950-3000fps w/ a modern rifle.
I really like the Hornaday 150gr BTSP. Kills good, flys great, reasonable price.
Like most have said, start lower and work up.
