Barska Waterproof Spotting Scope
I dont know much about spotting scopes but i have seen in
my local news paper add for a Barska scope at 20-60x 60mm for around $60-100 with protective carry case. Are these worth the deal for a novis target shooter like my self or are they not worth the time.. Im not looking to go all out and blow the bank.. just something solid and cheap to let me see down range with decent quality.

I picked one of those up this spring at Cabela's on sale for about 60 bucks. There not bad. Work great at 100 yds. 200 yds is pretty iffy. (as are many other more expensive scopes) The main draw back is the cheap tripod, can't take much wind and hard to get locked on the target. For a novice it will do the job just fine and save you a lot of steps.

I had one and it sucked. You really cant get a decent spotting scope for much under $250.
