Which shoulder recoil pad?
I was looking at shoulder recoil pads yesterday and the only one I could find was a no-name brand for $30 that had a pad the thickness of a communion wafer - and the cheap cloth it was made of was very thin.
I asume there are some recoil pads better than this one? Thanks.

I've got a Limbsaver on my 590A1 and I can recommend it.

I'm looking for one that straps over your shoulder, not the one that mount on the butt stock.

I have a Past recoil pad that I use when shooting at the bench while working up loads. It works very well. Bought it at Midway or Natchez.

Someone on Savage forum mentioned Limbsaver. They have recoil pads both for the gun butt and for the shoulder.
I have seen some, but online ordering. And I'm wondering what type of pad they use. If it's just foam rubber, it will wear out fast. The photo shows some type of waffle like substance. But it doesn't say what it is. dc |
