tight CS 45 magazine

I bought a new (unfired) magazine for my CS 45. The shells are so tight at top you can't push them out by thumb. The shell likes maybe a 1/16" from the top. They slide fine if you push them downpast the first level. I can't tell where the bind is.Should I try needlenose pliars or keep working with it to free it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the magazine lips are bent somehow. Cover a round with Magic Marker and try to push it out in normal position, then push it down and take it our. Look to see where the first attempt scraped the marker ink off?

It hanging on the angled indentions in the top of magazine. I think S&W added this to keep shell from moving forward. I can't figure out how to flatten them back a little without bending the rest of magazine.
