Reloading question?
Is there anyone out there who will do custom order reloading for you? Of course I would pay for all materials, shipping and reasonable reloading charge for this service. Interested in reloading for following calibers:
6.5x55 Swede 6mm Rem. Thanks, Rick |

Before the economic downturn, custom loading shops were one of the booming small businesses, I understand. Don't know how the component shortages have affected that? Not well, I expect. It was driven by people buying benchrest and varmint rifles with the builder's recommended load recipe, and wanting it duplicated without learning to load themselves. Also by some CAS shooters wanting obscure obsolete rounds loaded for them.
Try searching on "custom loading ammunition". A number of places come up when I Yahoo that. Loading and selling ammunition requires federal licenses and special liability insurance (unless the loader is foolish). Folks posting here mostly won't have those.

I have no personal experience with this company, but it appears to be a starting point. I found a couple of others, (NY State, BC Canada), but no web sites.

Like I said, Yahoo the exact term, "custom loading ammunition", and 10 custom loading outfits come right up on top. Googling it results in more, though Google is less firearm friendly.

1) Most of the folks who hang out here could easily do that for you, except that it's not legal, as he said above 2) Point being, YOU could learn to do it also... you might even learn to love it, and the folks here would be glad to offer some help and suggestions on how to get there. 3) There's a guy who posts here on occasion who has the license and builds ammo for sale, I think his business is high volume police departments and training operations near his location. BUT... you might click him up and see if he'll do what you need, and what it costs, or if he has an opinion for where else you might go to get it done. http://www.freakshowbullets.com/index.php The only other suggestion beyond the simple web searches is to look for reloaders at public ranges and chat 'em up. As far as I know, it's not illegal for a hobbyist handloader to assemble ammunition from a bunch of components that you provide, and I would think if you were present, he could even let you yank the handle and then it would even be "official." Handloaders at public ranges are easy to spot... look for guys with chrono's, guys with all their ammo in plastic flip-top boxes and also look for guys that are chasing flung brass in every direction.
