How to clean paint off of front sight.

What is the safest way to clean white paint off of a front sight?

Paint thinner. Lots of it.

Depends on the paint, and whether is IS paint.
Some people have used things like White-Out.

First step is to try Lacquer thinner or Acetone and a solvent-proof toothbrush.
These solvents DO NOT harm blued or plated gun finishes.
Usually, these solvents and the brush will remove the paint quickly.

Just try some Hoppe's first.

It can be rather effective.
