How to clean paint off of front sight.
What is the safest way to clean white paint off of a front sight?

Paint thinner. Lots of it.

Depends on the paint, and whether is IS paint.
Some people have used things like White-Out. First step is to try Lacquer thinner or Acetone and a solvent-proof toothbrush. These solvents DO NOT harm blued or plated gun finishes. Usually, these solvents and the brush will remove the paint quickly. |

Just try some Hoppe's first.
It can be rather effective. |
