I'm thinking about getting a small-bore flintlock squirrel rifle for, what else, squirrel. My usual weapon is a 94-22 levergun, but I'd like to get back into black powder for the mystique of it. I've got a few questions for the learned elite. Has anyone actually used these weapons for hunting small game? How useful are smooth-bore weapons for nailing such small, fast-moving targets? Who makes the best/least expensive kit?

Thanks!
