On other Pistol & Gun Forums I visit a few of them have a 1911 only thread.
I think this might be a something that should be considered for the Firing Line,it sure would be positive for this forum in my opinion. There's many of us who main interest is the 1911's & their various manufacturers & really don't care about the Glocks or HK's or various other makes,if we wanted to seek out info then we'd go to that pistol thread, but when your interest is 1911's it kind of a pain going through the list on the Pistol & Gun Forum seeking out a 1911 thread. Something to think about. |

Hit-em-
We are not a site that caters to 1911's....though that's my carry preference. We don't cater to Glocks. We don't cater to Bennelli. We don't cater to Fabrique Nationale. We don't cater to Sig. We don't cater to Ruger. We don't cater to Valmet..... starting to get the picture? ;-) Seriously. There's plenty of great 1911 sites around. We just don't want to set a Forum up for every great firearm that's ever been invented. Rich |

Hit-em,
If I may make a suggestion, use the search function of TFL to search the Handguns forum for "1911" or "Colt" or ".45". The resulting list will basically filter out all that offensive non-1911 stuff for you. -Dave ------------------ RKBA! So you can filter for a gun type - okay...
But can we filter out the Glock stuff? ------------------ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity." - Sigmund Freud [This message has been edited by George Hill (edited January 24, 2000).] |

Rich you dont have to set up a seperate forum for all the great firearms, but considering THE 1911 is the Greatest of all time?
I Think you guys are doing a very good job, but a glock and ar-15 filter would be nice.heheee |
