If that's all you have, then don't even worry about it. A member of this forum that I know had to defend his life and stopped two threats with 9mm ball ammo.

9mm defense loads.

9mm FMJ may not be ideal, but it works. A friend of mine is still alive and kicking after a number of rifle to pistol transitions in very close quarters, and he was using an M9 with 9mm FMJ in it for almost all of those.

FMJ doesn't change shot placement, and it doesn't hurt penetration.
