I just picked up a Rossi R98 w/ 4" barrel. Fit, finish and trigger pull are very good for a $300 revolver. I have only had it to the range once for 100 rounds but it lives up to it's plinker name. The only negative is that the grips are small. The good news is that any grips that fit the Taurus tracker fit this gun.

That's good to hear about the Rossi. There's definitely room for an inexpensive .22 revolver with a good trigger pull. The Taurus 94 has a reputation for a terrible DA trigger.
I also like that the Rossi is available in 2", 4", and 6" versions. That allows it to serve different roles - kit gun, plinker, target pistol, etc. |
