# 16

This was a tough choice for me. # 16 and #20 both looked like they could be magazine covers...good job on both.

Guess #16 finally won me over because I'm old, and fond of military weapons.

BTW: The lady with the shotgun is hawt! She deserves honorable mention.

There were many great guns and pics...made it damn hard to choose. Great job folks!

I voted for 39...

...I think with a little cropping (change it from horizontal format to portrait and cut out some of the dead space to the left) it would be a very dramatic pic.

It was a hard choice. I liked a whole lot of them...most of them in fact.

I was a bit creeped out by that crazed looking skinny lady pointing that shotgun at me and that pic of teddy bears with guns is just wrong.

I too liked #39, but something was lacking with the background and I found it had a bit too much glare.

#38, while it could have used a different background, the chosen one kinda works and the photog seems to understand that if you can’t add some artistic appeal through the use of a shallow depth of field, tack sharp is the way to go. This one got my vote.

There were several other good shots and a few that look like they were taken with a circa 1999 cell phone camera.

Playboy: I waited patiently and checked often, but didn’t see an entry from you! What the…?

I voted for number 5. I have always admired the photo since the begining. When I was showing the thread and my photo (which I never posted, good thing its a monthly contest) to a friend who is a brilliant photograher, she also commented on #5.

For myself, it came down to numbers 8, 16 and 34. Ultimately, I chose #34. Perhaps that is due to the fact that I had a P220 on my hip at the time.

It did take quite a bit of restraint to NOT vote for one of the 1911's. I just love 'em.....

VERY tough choice!

I was torn between #4, #16 and #40 as my final three. I ultimately went with #16 in honor of D-Day as this was June's competition.

Kudo's to everyone who entered as there are some truly remarkable photos submitted. If this is an indication of what the monthly contests are going to be like, we're in for a real treat!

38: Pretty guns; best job with lighting (IMHO).

Lots of nice photos.
Honorable mention(s) goes to:
6, 14, 16, 20, 29

Very surprised playboypenguin didn't throw his hat into the ring

i am surprised that more people haven't voted for 14.

i think its a very well rounded picture and has the right pieces for its mood.

lots of good pics to choose from though.

#16, Overall the best photo, great composition and the lighting was right on.

Looks like 16 is going to win. But 38 is the much better done photo, from a technical standpoint. It really shows both guns off very well.

With a more interesting background, perhaps it could have won, instead of being a distant second.
