Speaking of coating a Glock
Hi All. I used a holster with an exposed muzzle during an all day walk and stalk deer hunt and a little of the finish got rubbed off I guess by my pants. What can I spray on it that will keep the original look and be durable? It is a Gen 3 G17. Thank you.

First, all that rubbed off was the black Phosphor finish. The "real" protective finish is the Tenifer treatment of the slide. Nothing much you can do unless you want to have it re-coated. Most of us just spray the slide with spray Silicon and wipe it off or use a Silicon cloth or a sparsely oiled rag to wipe it down. Most of the time the missing Phosphor isn't all that noticeable.
Rubbed off finish just adds character.

Thanks. The only reason I care is I am thinking of trading it.
