FINALLY

Got out to do some shooting today.

Took along the nine inch Cattleman, the ROA and a Pietta Remington that had not been fired yet. Ran myself out of round balls.

Very good experience. I have some more work to do on my loading press since the jig I made for Remingtons does not fit the Cattleman or the ROA. Cylinder pin is too small and so the hole in the cylinder is too small for the jig.

Day was beautiful. Probably 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

The ROA is a joy to shoot which is no surprise. Points nice and danged consistent.

Seems like the Cattleman likes to swallow caps. I only had tens with me today and maybe elevens would fit better and not break up so bad.

A day is not wasted on which you can shoot black powder revolvers.

That's a quotable. Was out yesterday myself, and am looking forward to some time this weekend. Added a new (and I mean unfired) ROA to the safe recently that needs to be broken in ...

Sounds like a fun day. Had nearly 80 degree temps in Wisconsin yesterday, made spring fever start. Mud season starting, which means shootin' season startin' too.

That just sounds like a great day, Doc! I'm jealous. I am going to try to get out tomorrow and sling some lead. It is supposed to be 80's here for a week straight. There has got to be some of those days that it doesn't rain!

I gotta go cast some more .454s

I have maybe four or five left.

Either that or just shoot the ROA or the .36s.
