Tapco AK Magazines?????

I have a chance to buy some AK Tapco 30 round magazines?
Are they worth 22$ each or not worth a dime?

going rates anyones guess nowadays. I got mine for 15 per. I've ran about 60 rounds thru each. no issues as of yet.

That's over priced. If you have to have Tapco mags, try Primary Arms:

If you want a review, try searching for prior posts. Opinions vary, but even those that own them and like them (I do), wouldn't take one into battle over former commie mags or US Palm AK30 mags.

Ive got several tapco and promags both. I had some issue grtting the promags to seat properly, a little filling and they both run great. Kinda bulky. For a 7.62 rifle Id find steel surpkus mags, about the same price usually, but I think the steel are tougher. Mine is a 5.45 so mags are expensive in surplus and polymer typiclly anyway. I woukd say that price is high but its high on everything right now

You can order poly pro mags directly from their website for $15. It may be a few weeks, but they are filling all their orders.

I have used TAPCO mags and they worked like they were supposed to.I will have to wait and see if they hold up as well as the metal ones. I got them for about 15 bucks.

I just purchased my first Tapco; I had to choose between a 30 and 20 rounder mag, I choose the 20 since I do not already have one. The 30 is an aggravation for practice shooting, it gets it the way for a target shooting grip or from a ground or sandbag position.

It seems to work well, and fits my Saiga like a glove.

they work well enough... the only thing my AK would actually feed, $22 is a bit steep but considering that everything high capacity has gone through the roof I'd say you could do worse.

They're worth it if it works for your particular AK. $22 isn't bad; I've seen them for $25 locally.

I've got a 10 and 30 round tapco for my ak47 and 5 30 rounders for my ak74 and they're great. I paid ~20 for the ak47 and 15.99 for the ak74s

I bought some a couple of months ago from Sportsman's Guide for $8.33 each, very pleased with them.

I paid $25.00 for the magazine that was the subject of my post. I thought it was high, but if there are no gun shows running, it is hard to find them around here at the moment.

Saturday I went back and picked up 3. Fired each from full and no problems with feeding. The only issue was that they are a little tough getting them to seat into the gun.
Nowhere as easy as a metal Russian mag. You have to make sure it’s started in the front and very straight. Not so with the Russian mags.

You very well may have to do a little sanding on the lug that fits into the mag release. 5 minutes' adjustment will do wonders. Use the marks made by the mag release as a guide to remove material.

I have about a dozen of them. Paid between $8-15 for them. Good for the price. Had one screw-up (follower tilted). Threw it away because it was so cheap. Later rembered that Tapco has a lifetime warranty on them! Oh well. I recommend them but I would not pay that much for one.
