Ordering an Unavail. gun via retail store: Sig 232.
There appears to be no way to use a Dick's or Gander M. website to find out whether a specific gun can be ordered, and therefore no way to determine what their retail price would be after numerous charges.
My guns are rifles, and have never owned a handgun. No, it's Probably Not for carry (just plink) and I'm very familiar with comparative assets etc. How much would a new Sig 232 cost If it Could be ordered, including all charges before sales tax? A gun price book states $450 for either the 230 or 232. |

Thanks.
Until two recent gun shows, I have barely looked at handguns in person, other than friends' Polish P-64s and over twenty hours of reading. |

One tool to use in your new gun hunt is the Gallery of Guns Gun Genie. Follow the link;
http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx There is usually an active used market for the Sig P232, therefore finding a good deal via the internet should not be a problem. |

It is strange but Gallery of guns doesn't list Sig guns.

There's always Gunbroker. They still show a few Sigs. I think. |

I had a 232 for a long time, and liked it quite a lot. It was purchased for my wife. I ended up shooting it more than she did. It was a beautiful gun, and it shot great. It was one of those guns that just made me happy looking at it. I ended up trading it for a HK P7. I was amazed at how it retained it's value. I got almost as much for it as I payed originally. I traded it for 2 reasons; I never really liked the .380 cartridge, and I found a P7 that I wanted. I would caution that If you are just going to plink w/it, the .380 is a expensive round for that purpose. I sent you a PM w/a lead on a 230. It is basically the same gun, just an earlier version.
