Gentlemen,

Can any of you recommend a reliable source for rifle scope repair or refurbish?

I have an old Herter's model H55139, 2 3/4 x 21 fixed power and a not quite so old Weaver V9-II Micro-Trac 3x9 variable.

They have both lost their gas seal, but I love them both, especially the Herter's.

Any advice?

I think Premier Reticle does. Went I get back to work Monday I will post their #. Too bad T.K.Lee is no longer with us. He could fix anything.

The last # I have for Premier is 304-874-3917
Wardensville, WV. Dick Thomas be the man. I am not sure if he repairs scopes or just replaces the reticle. If he does not I would think he might know someone who does.

Joe,

I contacted Premier Reticles. They were polite and professional and told me, very nicely, that I was an idiot for not using Leupold scopes (not really!).

But Chris (Dick's son) was very convincing that I was probably at the knee of the "diminishing returns" curve on those old scopes.

I am "thimking" he may be right.
