I've never seen a 105 Sierra , I do load the 105 Speers . There is data in the Speer manual or LoadBook . They are as good a Deer bullet for whitetail , as any !

105 gr. Sierra's
I'm sorry about that. I don't know why i said 105 gr. Sierra's. I meant to say Speer. Guess i'll have to get a Speer reloading manual. Thanks for the correction.

Decide what powder you would use to load the ammo. May be difficult.
Then go to that makers website for loads. Most powder makers have good websites for reloading. Start w/ Alliant if in doubt. Last resort check Speers site-OR call 1 800 Bulletsmiths (Sierra) and ask them. They will give guidance/suggestions/precautions and dont care what bullets you will be using. |

LOL...had me looking for a 105gr. Sierra too. I didn't think they made
that bullet. They have several good 100gr. bullets though. I going to try the 100gr. Sierra #1560 BT with my next loading. |

105 gr. Speer
Thanks to all of you for your help. I now have a good idea of what i want to do. I;m going to load R-P brass with 43 gr. of H4831sc and CCI Mag. primers.
That should give me a pretty good starting load. Thanks again to all who helped me with this. Last edited by Southboy; May 15, 2012 at 06:22 PM. Reason: Left out something i wanted to say. |

Try Reloder 22. I'm getting great results with a 105 grain jacketed bullet and that powder.

I'm testing 100 grn Sierra Gamekings in our .243 right now, and I'm finding good accuracy with Supreme 780.

Sierras fly straight enough , but I've found them to be on the fragile side . Fine for varmints , Deer , not so much !

Though they're cheap enough to test with,,,My plan is to try the 100 grn Partition, after I get a grasp on some good data.
