talk about showing your dirty underwear …
Well, my "brown stripe" was an RG .38. I was nearly broke, immediately and severely needed portable protection (a guy had made serious threats to kill me). It got to the point of being cocked and aimed at a distance of about 10 feet. The other guy’s gun was much much nicer than mine, but the RG did it’s job without having it’s trigger pulled. So, I’ve got kinda mixed emotions about it being a piece of junk.

Walther TPH in .22. And twenty different brands of ammo, and 8 or 10 spare magazines. After all that I could occasionally get three rounds in a row to fire and feed.
I had one like that.
I have another that shoots nearly anything.
Go figure.

Cheap Junk

Kel Tec PLR16. Fun gun to shoot. Light weight, made of all plastic, and a jamomatic. I would never count on this gun to save my life.

Worst handgun you can own

What is the worst handgun you have owned, currently own, or could own. Some cheap POS, or an expensive letdown. lets hear 'em

Diamondback DB9. POS jammomatic pistol with customer service that could have worked anytime it wanted to but opted to be as unreliable as the product.

I had a Taurus PT-22 that was not reliable for me and had several issues. I ended up selling it back to the shop I bought it from for less than half of its purchase price (Bought it for $239 sold it back for $75 just to be rid of the problem). Some people may love these pistols, and perhaps I just got a lemon, but it left a bad taste in my mouth about that particular model.

Also this post is not meant to bash Taurus. I just didnt trust my life to that particular pistol.

The worst I've ever had was a Glock. It was reliable but I didn't like anything about it.

The worst I had was a S&W lightweight snubby. It tried to cut my hand in two.

I inherited a little German-made Rohm RG14 .22 pistol which tumbles bullets within 10 feet... The Zing Zing sound is actually kinda Hollywood funny. I'll sell it to ya' for $20 but you'll have to sign an "as-is" liability waiver...

My worst purchase was a Springfield XD9. Heavy and longish ragged trigger.
Traded it in on a S&W revolver.

A lot of Taurus bashing here. I have five and they are flawless.

Taurus pt22 and a pt111. Both garbage pistols for me. Terribly unreliable.

Never had a "worst handgun" but I disliked the Grendal P-10. My ex-wife (still on speaking terms with) really liked it and carry's it today.

Probably the Jennings JA22.... just a cheap Saturday Night Special type gun. It really want that bad though. I traded an old laptop for it... put less than 100 rds though it... sold it for $100.

Trigger sucked. Could only get through about 1 out of every 3 magazines without a jam.

It wasn't anything that I would use for a carry gun other than possibly a little last ditch backup.

It was acquired to teach my girlfriend to shoot... and after she shot 2 mags through it, she was ready for 9mm. My buddy that bought it just uses it for a campfire plinking fun gun... he enjoys it for what it is.

Wow! This thread ought to open a can of worms.

Taurus guns have already been hit; Can Hi-Points be far behind?

Taurus 24/7 compact 9mm. It was the biggest POS I've ever owned and I'll never own another Taurus again. It was one of my first guns and I sent it back to Taurus twice and it never got fixed. I sold it to a friend for $100 after warning him about the problems. He has since offered it back to me for $50 and I said no thanks. Never again!!!
