Ar sounds louder after swapping upper reciever

I replace my bushmaster carbon upper with an Reiner upper. Also add a free floating hand guard and low profile gas block. I went out today to test it out . It sounded way louder then before. What could it be?? Gun worked great

Is there a different muzzle device mounted on the new upper?

Or maybe it wasn't the first time around--it's pretty typical for a brake to redirect to the sides making the report sound appear louder.
