Is case lube still needed? - Page 2

If you use steel instead of carbide straight wall pistol dies or FL sizing rifle dies then you must lube. I still use the old lube pad method and the best lube I have found is STP. Especially when making wildcats ie: 357/44 etc.

I use Lee Resizing Lube which you apply with your fingers. This allows you to run your fingers around the whole case. It's easy to pick up any imperfections in the case with which you may not be comfortable. If it doesn't feel right to me, I toss the case.

We used the RCBS lube with the pad then tumbled our brass after we punched and resized. Then would make sure the primer hole was clear of any medium.
