OK, What is This?
This came in a large estate sale purchase awhile back, I just ran across it again. Can't figure out what it does, or if all these pieces even go together.
The die, punch and ram all go together, not sure about the stuff on the right. The ram fits into the press, the punch into the die and the ram pushes the punch thru the hole of a shell holder. I thought it was a priming die/system but there is nowhere to hold the primer. The punch does fit in a large primer pocket though. Maybe a large primer pocket swage die? It looks like a Lee die/lock ring, but does not have a mfr name that I can find. As far as the stuff on the right, I don't have any idea. They say RCBS on them.

The stuff on the left looks like most of the pieces from an RCBS ram primer. I don't know what the stuff on the right is for.

Ram prime and rcbs trimmer stuff?
EDIT: Yep. RCBS Trim Pro shellholders. Sent from a highly hacked Android device using Tapatalk 2. Last edited by mrawesome22; June 3, 2012 at 12:47 AM. |

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/416...m-priming-unit On mine, the rod doesn't have the job at the end that holds the primer. When I put it in the press the first time, I couldn't figure out how it would hold a primer. I tried again and after you raise the ram, the plunger pushes up on the priming rod and the base of the rod catches somewhere so that it doesn't drop down into the die all the way and the primer can sit on top of the priming rod, in the hole of the shell holder. I will try to seat some primers, see if it works

Is it an older design? Doesn't look like the new version, but it does look like a Lee die to me.
