Paranoia?!

Is it paranoia to keep my Winchester 1300 Defender loaded 24/7? What with folks "bizzare" enough to get themselves shot by air marshalls, and with no abating of violent home invasions. Incidentally, would it "hurt" the gun to keep it loaded 24/7? Thanks for your expertise.

What's that old saying: "Just because your paranoid, doesn't mean theres no one out to get you!"

Yeah, keeping it loaded hammer down on an empty chamber won't hurt anything. You may want to change your magazine spring one a year just to be on the safe side.

I keep my guns loaded at home. It's paranoia, it's preparedness.

I have a cocked and locked Glock by my bed at all times, and if I need it there is a 1300 just a reach away that has a a full magazine tube.

The second last thing I want to do is shoot someone, the first last thing is to have someone shoot me.. keep it loaded, unless you have kids around, if so you should take precautions they can't get hurt.
