Indiana personal protection laws
I have a carry permit in Indiana and we don't have any courses that are requirfed (or even offered that I know of). I am having a hard time finding a clear listing of the laws of self defense/carry in indiana. All training info says to become familiar with the laws in yoru state but where do you find them?

Also contact your local State Police office or county Sherriff for more information. Don't worry, they do this all the time.

Thanks for the link...I was able to copy and post the penal code chapters into google and find some info. However it is still in legal jargon and hard to understand. Does anyone have a simpliefied version? How about some information on recent cases of self defense in indiana and how things fell out? It sounds like indiana law is pretty good concerning not getting arrested for justifiable self defense but what about civil suits? Is there anything stopping a family from suing you if you kill someone while they are attacking you?
