Wolf small rifle primers would make good small pistol primers. They have the copper cups. Buy the small rifle mag primers for AR's because they have brass cups (recommendation by Wolf on the SRM for AR's).

Trade or sell primers???

I have some extra large rifle magnum primers I bought by accident a few years back. I'd let them go for $60/1000 or trade for small rifle primers suitable for .223. I'm in the Modesto, CA area and want a face to face trade or sale.

$60 for a thousand?
Are they gold plated? Do they have a picture of the last supper etched on them?

If I was interested in shipping them I would gunbroker them, but I'd prefer just selling them in my area where virtually none are available. I didn't buy these to skalp, but I'm not going to sell them at less than my replacement costs or give them away no matter how much you two guys want to whine about the price. By all means buy your primers cheaper from your preferred source if they just happen to have any to sell you. Makes no difference to me if I trade equal numbers or take cash at current prices so I can buy the ones I want.

Ahhh, back up and read again. I wasn't whining about the price, I was pointing out how friggin' ludicrous your price is. As for "skalp", you said it.

I was paying $24 per thousand in Nov '07. Since things went goofy last fa ll, I've seen prices go as high as $50 (which is complete nonsense and a full-on sodomy job, but still cheaper than your price) but I haven't yet paid more than $36 per thousand.

I am seeing them locally... when? How about three days ago when I bought another thousand for $35.

Of course, you do live in Kalifornia. With your non "skalp" price of $60 for a thousand, sounds like you are right where you oughta be.
