Happy with Pietta Remington

Shot for a couple hours today. My Rem '58 pawnshop Pietta is endearing itself to me. I got 2.5 and 3 inch groups at 50' with 25 g. Pyrodex. I upped it to 32 grains of Pyrodex and got a 2 inch group and a big ka-boom.

I was grouping off a sandbag at 50'. I think the Pietta can do better with a little concentration.

It may not be a "cloverleaf" but it shamed all the moderno pistol shooters at the range. And, best of all, no can was safe at 25 yards when I was shooting offhand (that was the fun part).

My brown Navy Arms '58 and 1860 Army shot groups about double that size. But both were giving me cap problems and that always screws up groups.

Very good shooting there, & yeah my Pietta 58 with the 5.5" barrel likes a little stout charge too because it groups better with 30-35gr. of Pyrodex or FFFG Goex than a lighter charge for me.

She looks to be a keeper..
