remington nylon 66 magazine capacity
Hi,
I am picking up a remington nylon 66 in a few days and i have been told by the dealer that the magzine holds only 10 rounds. he tried to load more than 10 in but the magazine would not hold any more. every article i have read on the gun says it should hold 14. Can any one please explain what is wrong with this gun? i would appreciate any ones help. Thank you |

Possibly the dealer is confusing the original Nylon 66 with the tubular magazine in the butt, and the later nylon rifle with a box magazine.
The original version of the "clip" fed nylon held 5 rounds, but there were 10 round magazines available. If it's an original, possibly the magazine tube is damaged. A dent or kink can prevent loading to capacity, or possibly someone blocked the magazine to 10 rounds. |

hi
thanks for this. it's the tubular magazine. i spoke to the dealer this afternoon and he told me this: the magazine holds more than 10 rounds, but when the rod goes back inside it, it won't close. now if this is correct, i'd imagine that the rod is not original, nor is the spring. if this is the case could you please advise me on what i could do to get around this problem? |
