Stripper clips for .308???
This may seem like a dumb question but are there stripper clips made for the .308 case? I have never seen them.
If they do exist, where might I find them? Thanks

Yes, though not "specifically" for .308, (there are USGI for .30 cal that are interchangeable for feeding magazines for the M1 and M1A) and there are different types that work for anything close to 7.62 x XXX or .30 cal/.308 for the M1/M1A; FAL, SKS, AK47, and another rifle, but mind is dead blank now.

Mauser 8mm strippers will also work with guns converted to 308 on a Mauser action.

I have a couple of bags full of USGI M-14 stripper clips. Also a bunch of 8m/m stripper clips. Both work well with the mag loader for the FAL mags. And with the '98 Mauser that has been rebarrreled to 7.62X51.
Where to get them? It seems to me that CTD offered/offers them.

Thank god! I was goin' nuts tryin' to remember the caliber--8mm. I don't own one, so I only know how the clip was identified by other shooters.
Thanks guys. |

www.tapco.com sells them. They are the Chinese ones. They work ok! If you want the good ones get the Aussie F4 308 ammo in bandoleers. 50 rounds per bandoleer. Those really work well!
