Help ID Shotgun, P Ruschetta Brescia
Hello all, I am very new to the firearms community but have a question that i hope someone can help with. My grandfather (that was originally his father's ) is handing down his Shotgun. He doesnt know much about it except its Italian and roughly 90-100 years old. There are no serial numbers, the only markings are P Ruschetta Brescia. I've tried googling the name but not much has come up.

"Brescia" is a section (county) of Northern Italy, most often referred to as the Val Trompia or Gardone area(s) - the seat of Italian gunmaking for hundreds of years, up to the present time. (Just like the Connecticut Valley in the US was)
The gun might have been made by Pierrino Ruschetta, and there could very well be a serial number and a date mark among the proofmarks stamped into the metal of the barrel bottoms & flats, and/or the action watertable/flats - all viewable only after removing the forend & dismounting the barrels. . |
