Tag?
I see people from time to time respond to a post with only the word "tag." What gives? Expand my internet vocabulary
Example: http://thefiringline.com/forums/show...hlight=beowulf

By "tag"ging a thread, you are "bump"ing it to the top of the forum page (AKA - BTT).

When I see it, it is not the original poster that is "tagging" the threads. Like the example I gave, yes it is a for sale add but that isn't the OP tagging it and if I recall, it didn't need bumped at that time. Notice the time stamps, TFL for sale forum does not need 2 bumps in a 24hr period. Sale volume is low, stuff just doesn't move down to the bottom very fast.
I have also seen it in non-sale adds.

It's probably someone subscribing to the thread by posting in it. However, if that is the reason for the "tag" posts, it isn't necessary, since anyone can subscribe to a thread without having to post in it.

Right, that's kinda what I was thinking... and it didn't make sense because the "subscribe" function is so much easier than sifting thru your old posts.
