"Dark Spot" in Trijicon RMR

A couple weeks ago, I was looking through the trijicon RMR I have mounted on my FNX-45 Tac, and I noticed the amber dot passed over a small, perfectly round, focused dark spot in the viewing field. After days of searching on the internet about similar problems, and cleaning and cleaning with a dry q-tip, I finally swiped the emitter window one time with a damp q-tip and came up with a single particle of red glitter from the wrapping paper my wife used this christmas. Poof, the dark spot was gone. Bottom line: don't let your wife wrap presents in your gun room. Glitter is the herpes of craft supplies. once you get it, it doesn't go away. I was ready to send this thing back to trijicon, I'm glad i didn't now.
