It looks more like a G3 or a copy, from the looks of the rear sight base. The end cap is different, but Ive seen smaller guns in that family with them, so maybe it was an option with the 7.62 guns as well.

I would have said CETME, too. Maybe you could swap it for one of those STG44s found in Syria, and bring it back to the states for me?

Its a g3 based on the rear sight base and the flash hider. It would make sense to be a g3 because of Pakistan using the rifle in their military. Im sure some of them managed to find there way over there. The endcap instead of a stock is a little suprising.
I bet it still works. Let us know how it shoots, if you can. You need 7.62x51 if you were wondering. |

Very likely a Pakistani manufactured G-3.
Pakistan licensed the design and has been making and issuing a variety of them for decades. You might want to look and see if the butt cap looks like it was originally part of the issue sliding (retractable) stock version commonly issued for AFV crews. Willie . |

Get yourself a rear sight, new $2.50 mag, and a $15 dollar stock set and that thing would be good to go.

CETME/G3 is my bet, but it had a collapsible stock. The grooves on the side of the receiver are for the struts. I'd bet the stock broke.
