ejector rod stuck?

has this happened to anyone else? all I did was the routine cleaning on a S&W model 65 .357. revolver and it appears the ejector rod is too long??? I am unable to close the cylinder. anyone got a remedy for this....besides go see a gunsmith!!?? thanks

Just screw it back in it happens it gets loose mostly from shooting , The thread is reversed so don't unscrew it.You can put a little BLUE locktite on it very little

It may have a LEFT HAND thread. Be careful. They come unscrewed all the time on those guns.

did just that and a little locktite fixed it. in 10 years of shooting this revolver this was the first time it happened. thanks!!
