Mounting a Harris Bipod, part II
Thanks to all who gave me the advice concerning the bipod on my rifle. Now, another question.
I note that on the front underside of the M1A stock, there is a small "witness" hole. I'm not sure what it's for--other than venting a very small amount of gas from under the barrel. Can I mount the sling swivel stud there to keep from drilling the stock? Or shall I count on doing some drilling?
