Daughter Wins

After comming in second for the last two years the daughter 13 years old
won the Jr. pistol championship this past week at Friendship INdiana. She
shot her little 32 cal caplock pistol. They have two targets. Both 10 shot
matches at 25 yds. She also won the 25 yd re-entry match. Had to sneak
her out of school to go, but she did take homework and did do it while there.

What kind of black powder shoot was it?
Tell us more about her competition my friend.

And pat her on the head in a congratulatory way for me.

Good for her! She's taking after her mom! Oh, and I guess that her dad probably helped too

Congratulations and great job to both of you! Whatever she missed in school today can easily be reviewed, but opportunities and memories like this one are few and far between, and if missed, are lost forever.

I know how much time and sacrifice it takes transporting kids to and from sporting events and activities not to mention the time and $$$ invested in equipment, practice and training.
The things she's learning isn't taught in school anyway; poise and confidence among them. Congratulations to her and good luck to both of you in future endeavors.

A salute to daddy, she wouldn't be there if not for him and kudos to her for putting up with daddy and learning to shoot anyway.

As a shooter who shoots with his daughter and son, I commend you and your young lady!

.....and I'm sneakin' mine out of school at the end of the month to go to a shoot too. Like said before, one missed day of school is nothing compared to what they learn at one of these things.

Kudos!

I'll tell you what makes me feel good...

...A young teenager who is focused enough to concentrate on winning rather than just going along.

...A family that sees the value in meaningful collaboration.

...A father and probably a mother who act as role models.

43,

My guess is that your daughter pays attention when you talk to her about shooting. I think that means she also pays attention to you when you talk to her about integrity.

Every time you post something about your family shooting experiences I develop a more intense admiration.

I would be willing to bet that in twenty years, your daughter will not remember the trophies as much as she will remember your advice.

Way to go, Pop!
